Early pacesetters Spurs return to action on Monday night as they welcome fellow Londoners Chelsea to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Can they upset their former boss by picking up yet another three points on Monday evening? This game kicks off at 8pm UK.
Spurs
With both neighbours Arsenal and champions Manchester City in hot pursuit, Spurs will be keen to continue their winning streak on Monday night when former boss Mauricio Pochettino returns to North London for the first time since his departure in November 2019.

Get it & Bet It Now!Following miserable spells under the stewardship of Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte in which the players’ individual flair and attacking intent was stifled and stymied, the arrival of Ange Postecoglu has enabled the Spurs players to finally express themselves.
Postecoglu’s men made heavy weather of their 2-1 success at Selhurst Park last Friday, although with ten days to prepare for this game, they should be fully tuned up and raring to go on Monday night. Although it may not have felt like it at the time, Spurs will undoubtedly feel the benefits of having been dumped out of the League Cup at any early stage. Unlike many of their rivals, this will have enabled Postecoglu to have worked with his squad on the training ground uninterrupted during the week.
The North London outfit have won eight of their last nine games and have only dropped four points so far this campaign. Although some critics have suggested that their fixture list has been relatively kind, they have managed to remain unbeaten against Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool (albeit controversially).
James Maddison has been hugely impressive so far this season whereas Dejan Kulesevski and Son look to cause problems for Chelsea’s shaky defence.
Chelsea
Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is the latest in a long line of previously successful managers who have struggled to turn things around at Stamford Bridge. Despite seemingly starting to turn things around, the pressure on the Argentine is slowly beginning to build and following last weekend’s woeful 2-0 loss to Brentford, he desperately needs a positive performance from his side here.
Pochettino exchanged angry words with a supporter following the final whistle at Stamford Bridge last weekend and there were large sections of support who expressed their displeasure upon hearing the final whistle. He desperately needs his side to produce a match-winning performance on Monday.
Chelsea have endured an unlucky run of injuries and they do have key players missing for this clash, however, their failure to sign a top class striker has hit them hard this season. Nicholas Jackson has shown plenty of pace and endeavour, but he looks short of confidence in front of goal and hasn’t been able to justify his price tag.
The Blues have won just two of their last seven matches with both of those victories coming away from home. Having beaten a low-scoring Fulham outfit and a relegation-threatened Burnley side, Chelsea have done enough to put some distance between themselves and the drop zone, however, fans are far from convinced.
Chelsea are heading into an incredibly tough run of fixtures which includes games against Manchester City, Brighton and Newcastle.
Head to Head
Spurs will be hoping to record back-to-back home successes over Chelsea having beaten the Blues in February. Prior to that, Chelsea had tended to dominate this fixture and have won four of the last six meetings between these two teams.
The Blues have also won in three of their last four visits to this stadium across all competitions.
Only one of the last seven meetings between these sides at this venue have featured three or more goals.

Match Prediction
Chelsea are in dire straits and it’s difficult to see how they pick up a result against the leaders. Spurs weren’t at their best last week, but they’ve had a full week to prepare and should be able to use that to their advantage here.
