The North London derby is always one of the most popular fixtures on the calendar and this looks set to be yet another fascinating contest between these two rivals. This game kicks off at 2pm UK time and takes place at the Emirates.
Arsenal
Arsenal remain unbeaten so far this season across all competitions having demolished PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday night. Mikel Arteta opted for a strong XI, despite the imminent presence of this potentially mouth-watering North London derby.

Get it & Bet It Now!The Gunners have made a terrific start to the campaign, however, there is an acknowledgment that their opening five fixtures have been relatively kind. Their toughest opponents yet, Manchester United are bang out-of-form, although had their second half strike not been chalked off by VAR, it could have been a completely different story.
Mikel Arteta will be disappointed that his side have failed to keep a clean sheet in front of their own fans and considering Spurs’ style of play under the new management, the Spaniard may have to wait a little longer for a home shutout.
Gabriel Martinelli missed Wednesday’s match with an injury and he may not be risked here. Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber are longer-term absentees.
Despite the majority of the fixtures falling kindly for them, the Gunners looked ruthless in North London on Wednesday night and they should be able to take plenty of confidence into this tie.
Spurs
Ange Postecoglu is proving to be an inspired appointment. The Australian has overseen a fantastic start to the season and they’ve been thoroughly entertaining to watch too. Only Brighton and Man City have scored more goals than the Lilywhites with the Seagulls being the only team to produce a higher xG than Postecoglu’s men. Away from home, they’ve averaged an xG of 2.17 and they should create plenty of chances on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs weren’t at their best last weekend, falling behind to Sheffield United before mounting a late comeback. However, they were the better side going forward and had enough firepower in the squad to edge past the newcomers.
The visitors are unbeaten on the road so far and have netted 2+ goals in each of those games. Although they can no longer call upon Harry Kane (although they do have a buy-back clause), they still have a number of dangerous players in their XI.
Sadly for the Lilywhites, Ivan Perisic has been ruled out for the majority of the season having sustained an ACL injury in midweek. He is joined on the sidelines by Bryan Gil, Ryan Sessegnon and Rodrigo Bentacour.
Spurs will have benefitted from the lack of European action and will have enjoyed a full week to focus on this crucial contest.
Head to Head
Spurs are looking for revenge having lost both North London derbies last season, however, they look a lot more focused under Postecoglu’s jurisdiction.
Arsenal won this game 3-1 last season and they have enjoyed the monopoly in front of their own fans in recent seasons. They’ve won each of the last three here and those matches have been hugely entertaining affairs. There have 15 goals across the last four meetings at the Emirates and this is likely to follow suit.
Spurs did win here in the EFL Cup a couple of seasons ago, however, you have to go back to 2010 for their last PL victory at this venue.
