The second Manchester derby of the season takes place on Saturday lunchtime at Old Trafford. Revenge will be the name of the game for Erik Ten Haag’s side as they aim to avenge October’s 6-3 hammering at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester United
The Red Devils have suffered just a single top flight defeat since their humbling in M11 and they come into this fixture in superb form. Although Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth weren’t the toughest of opposition, Ten Haag’s side have collected maximum points from their three games and have also managed to keep clean sheets in each of those fixtures. A much-changed XI also enjoyed a straightforward midweek success against League One Charlton in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

Ronaldo’s exit has certainly enhanced team spirit within the camp and their victory over Everton in the FA Cup was evidence that Erik Ten Haag has a deep enough squad to compete successfully across multiple tournaments.
Manchester City
Since the last meeting between these sides, Pep’s men have actually dropped points on three occasions and they now trail leaders Arsenal by five points. The Citizens have beaten Chelsea twice within a week and will head into this fixture full of confidence.
